Landscapes on the Wild Side
Van Gogh called Victor Hugo’s (Les Miserables) sketches “Astonishing Things,” Explore his wild landscapes created while in exile on Guernsey and now on view at London’s Royal Academy of Art. We’ll take inspiration from his mixed-media techniques to build sepia-toned atmospheric compositions, working from local scenes or a reference image.
Supplies included: Canson papers, graphite, charcoals, ink or coffee washes and acrylic.
Donation $10. Old Stone House (payable at the door). 10 persons max.
