Artists are invited to paint “plein air” as The Stourbridge Line Excursion rollsin along the Lackawaxen. Stop by our Ticket Booth Gallery with framed works by our featured artists available. Artist Registrations:
9AM–12:45 PM or 1:45 PM–5PM

About the Event

Paint The Stourbridge Line is an INVITATIONAL plein air event and outdoor PopUp gallery at the historic Hawley, PA Train Station, held in participation with the Honesdale to Hawley Stourbridge Line Rail Excursions.

WHEN: Saturday, September 4, from 9AM to 5PM. As featured artists, we’ll paint “plein air” as the Honesdale to Hawley Special Excursion rolls in and Soarin’ Eagle Railbike Tours take to the rails along the Lackawaxen River. Stop by our Ticket Booth Gallery where framed works will be available for purchase.

Artist Applications

REGISTRATION: Artists interested to participate either AM or PM sessions. $10. Donation

PAINTING: Locations onsite will be be mapped: from the covered, elevated train platform, rail yard, and river bank access plus locations adjacent on Hawley Main Street, The Settlers Inn, etc.

RAIL YARD ACTIVITY: Throughout the day, Passengers from The Art Train and Rail Bikes, Hawley Parades

  • AM SESSION, 9AM to 12:45 PM

  • PM SESSION, 1:45 PM to 5PM

  • GALLERY HOURS: 9-5PM
