Plein Air on The Big Eddy at Narrowsburg Logging Days is back! 
And as one of our favorite fall events, with its namesake, the New York State Lumberjack Association Contest, and the Big Eddy at the height of peak color as our painterly backdrop, we hope you’ll join us for a unique day of Plein Air along the scenic Upper Delaware.

NEW! Quick Paint + PopUp Gallery + GOLDEN Artist Colors

This year we’ve added a QUICK PAINT competition and PopUp Sales Gallery plus $100.00 Award Gift Certificates courtesy of GOLDEN Artists Colors to three lucky juried painters. Artists may still participate as General Admission Plein Air for an afternoon of leisurely painting similar to last year. All are welcome!



QUICK PAINT GUIDELINES: ALL 2-D MEDIA ARE ELIGIBLE
Oils, Acrylics, Pastels, Gouache, Watercolor and wet or dry drawing materials.

QUICK PAINT ARTISTS: Registered artists receive one stamped, 5 x 7 Centurion OP DLX Linen Panel to complete a 5 x 7 work within two hours. Additionally, artists are eligible to receive a second canvas to complete another work in a second two-hour time period. All works must be completed within the 11AM to 3:45PM timeframe and submitted to the PopUp Gallery. Judging begins promptly at 4PM.
Registration: $25.00

GENERAL ADMISSION: Artists wishing to paint along with us, receive one 5 x 7 Centurion OP DLX Linen Panel OR Williamsburg Oil Color sample set. Painting only. Not eligible for PopUp Gallery or judging. Registration: $10.00


POPUP GALLERY: Paintings will be on display in the Gallery for judging and sales

JUDGING: Finished work must be submitted to the Pop-Up Gallery by 3:45PM for judging. Recipients of $100.00 Gift Certificate Awards by GOLDEN Artists Colors will be given to three painters chosen by our judges.

QUICK PAINT ARTISTS AGREE to display their works in the PopUp Gallery, available for public viewing from 11AM to 5PM. See us for sales details at check-in.

VISIT US: Discover what "Plein Air" is about — composition, color and value and the importance of thumbnail sketches, presented in our "The Landscape Sketch Workshops" at CFFCM and SUNY/Online. Classes and workshops are ongoing and year-round in live and hybrid formats.
